If you've been here before you will have noticed that things have changed quite a bit.
Our old site was rapidly nearing the end of its functional lifespan, and remaining in the Drupal Commerce environment would have required a complete re-write of much of the code. This would have been costly in terms of time and money; and with our slowly decreasing focus on the commerce side of things, was not feasible.
The only alternative was going with a hosted commerce solution, which is what you see before you.
If you are new to Sofawolf, then it works pretty much like every other online commerce site you have probably seen.
You can now sign in via Google or Facebook SSO if you prefer to do that. We won’t do anything with this information other than authenticate your logins.
You can make purchases without making an account now. If you later decide to make an account with that same email address, any orders placed previously in this system will be associated with that account.
Our loyalty program Swing Dogs will allow you to earn cookies for every dollar spent. These will be redeemable for percent discount coupons and maybe some other cool things eventually. (You need to make an account to earn loyalty points.)
You can checkout via Square or PayPal. Neither ones stores your card or login information on our system.
Shipping is via USPS Media Mail or Priority Mail within the United States, and USPS First Class International or Priority Mail International to the rest of the globe.
If you have shopped with us before, there are a few more things you should know:
We did not bring over user accounts. This is both to avoid any potential privacy issues and due to technical limitations of the import process. So, even if you had an account before, you will need to make a new one here by clicking the user account menu in the top right.
We were also unable to bring over old orders. There is a chance that this might happen eventually; but we did not want to spend the time working this out before launching. If you placed an order recently and need information about your order, contact us! We’ll be happy to help.
The new site does not offer a way to set up the loyalty program in the same way our last two sites were set up. You will instead earn points for purchases, which you can then spend on discounts. If you were a Silver / Gold / Platinum level customer previously, you will have a bunch of points either waiting for you or added after your account is created.
There is no longer a Check or Money Order payment option as no one was using it other than as a workaround for PayPal issues with our old site. Now that PayPal is natively integrated, you can use that instead. All other payment methods remain the same, and are handled via Square in a secure session. Nothing is stored locally.
